Is the GeForce RTX 4070 WINDFORCE OC right for you?
If you find this card at a clear discount versus the 4070 SUPER and the current-gen RTX 5070, and you want capable 1440p high-refresh gaming with DLSS 3 Frame Generation, the WINDFORCE OC delivers.
If you're shopping new at full price, the RTX 5070 with DLSS 4 multi-frame generation or RX 9070 with 16GB VRAM both make more sense. The original 4070 is hard to justify now without a meaningful discount.
Before you buy
Only at a meaningful discount. The 4070 SUPER adds more CUDA cores at typically similar pricing. Unless the original 4070 is genuinely cheaper, the SUPER variant is the smarter buy.
Only at a clear discount versus newer alternatives. The RTX 5070 with DLSS 4 and RX 9070 with 16GB VRAM both make more sense at full price now. The 4070 needs to be discounted to compete.
Stretched at native 4K in modern AAA. With DLSS Quality and Frame Generation it can manage 4K in lighter titles, but 1440p high-refresh is the genuine sweet spot for this card.
Nvidia recommends 650W and that's the realistic floor. Most existing quality 650W or higher PSUs will run this card without needing an upgrade, helpful for older builds being refreshed.
