Who it's for

Is the Hisense 50A7NQTUK 4K Smart TV right for you?

Buy it if
First 4K living-room set

If you want a do-everything 4K telly with the full HDR feature list, good colour and plenty of HDMI ports, this hits the brief without overspending.

Skip it if
Next-gen console gaming

If 4K at 120Hz, the deepest blacks or room-filling brightness matter most, the 60Hz panel and lack of local dimming will hold you back.

First 4K upgrader
Moving up from an old HD set and wants a fuss-free, feature-complete 4K telly.
excellent

Common questions

Before you buy

Does the Hisense 50A7NQTUK do 4K 120Hz?

No. The panel is 60Hz, so even though the HDMI ports are 2.1 compliant for VRR and ALLM, it cannot run 4K at 120fps. For that you need a 144Hz set.

Does it support Dolby Vision?

Yes, it supports Dolby Vision along with HDR10 and HDR10+ decoding, so it can read the HDR format that most streaming services send.

How many HDMI ports does it have?

Three HDMI 2.1 compliant ports with eARC, ALLM and VRR, enough for a console, soundbar and set-top box at the same time.

Is the sound good enough without a soundbar?

The 20W speakers handle everyday telly fine, but films and sport will sound fuller with a soundbar. It supports eARC so connecting one is simple.
