Is the Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED 77" right for you?
If you have the space and want cinema-scale OLED with Sony's picture tuning and sound-from-screen audio, this 77 inch set is a superb home-cinema centrepiece.
If your room cannot offer a long viewing distance, or it is very bright, a smaller OLED or a high-brightness Mini-LED will suit the space better.
Before you buy
A 77 inch screen suits rooms where you can sit roughly three metres or more back. In a smaller room it can feel overwhelming and you will sit too close.
It is Sony's technology that vibrates the screen itself to produce sound, so audio comes from exactly where the action appears on screen.
No, the sound-from-screen audio works on its own. A Sony soundbar unlocks the full BRAVIA Theatre experience and Acoustic Centre Sync centre-channel feature.
OLED looks superb but is dimmer than a top Mini-LED, so in a very sunny room a bright Mini-LED can be more practical for a large screen.
