Is Logitech G good?

Yes. RTINGS has reviewed more than 55 Logitech mice and places Logitech among makers of "some of the best-performing mice", with sensors "widely considered some of the best available". RTINGS's brand comparison sets out where Logitech wins and loses:

  • Build and sensors:RTINGS rates the build of the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 as "impressive" and its sensor latency as "outstanding".
  • Wireless:RTINGS credits Logitech with "noteworthy contributions in improving wireless technology", and most Logitech G mice in this guide use LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz wireless.
  • Software:RTINGS says G HUB "often receives criticism" for frequent updates and "disproportionate system resources".
  • Switches: Logitech used conventional mechanical switches for longer than Razer, according to RTINGS, and older models developed double-click faults.

Lighter rivals are compared in Chinese gaming mice vs Logitech and Razer, and brand shoppers can read the best Razer products UK 2026 and best SteelSeries products UK 2026 guides.

RTINGS calls the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 "an outstanding FPS gaming mouse" with "exceptionally low click latency" and a shape that suits "nearly all hand sizes and grip types". RTINGS's criticisms are small: the feet "don't glide as smoothly as many competing gaming mice", there is no Bluetooth, and the scroll wheel has no tilt or free-spin mode. The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 suits competitive shooter players who want a proven shape and the most performance per pound in Logitech's range.

RTINGS names the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE its best Logitech mouse for gaming, but finds HITS gives "a very small but measurable click latency advantage" and that "some of the early hype has been exaggerated". RTINGS also found the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE slightly front-heavy. In February 2026 TechPowerUp reported an Apex Legends player banned while using the mouse; Respawn later confirmed a false ban. Which Logitech mouse is worth the money at each price?

The step from £19.99 to £67.99 buys the most, because it takes 39 g off the weight; the step from £99.99 to £159.00 buys the least measurable gain. Compare Electronic ranked every current Logitech gaming mouse on Amazon UK by price and listed what each step up adds:

Compare Electronic's Logitech mouse price ladder (Amazon UK prices, 29 September 2026). Step is the price gap to the row above. Weight, battery and polling are Logitech's UK figures; the PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE ships on 6 October 2026.

Two rungs stand out. The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SEat £67.99 is the same 60 g shell and HERO 2 sensor as the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 for £32.00 less, capped at 1,000 Hz. RTINGS says the jump to 8,000 Hz has a practical impact "too small to notice in-game" on the similar Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT, which makes the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SE the value pick for everyone below competitive level. The wired Logitech G502 HERO at £26.99 is the cheapest route to 11 programmable buttons. The full field of rivals sits in the best gaming mice UK 2026 guide.

The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 is better for shooters and the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED is better for games with many binds, according to Logitech's UK spec sheets:

  • Wired polling: 8,000 Hz, up from 1,000 Hz.
  • Weight: 59 g in most regions but 61 g in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, so UK buyers get no weight saving.

How magnetic switches work is covered in mechanical keyboard switches explained.

The Logitech MK295 combo at £23.32 covers a basic desk with a UK-layout keyboard and mouse on one receiver.

Which Logitech racing wheel, microphone, mouse pad and webcam are worth buying?

Logitech's strongest products outside mice and headsets are its racing wheels, Yeti microphones and webcams. The picks, at Amazon UK prices in September 2026:

The mid-range desk is the best value: it costs £341.44 less than the flagship desk and keeps an 8,000 Hz mouse, Rapid Trigger keys and a headset RTINGS measured at nearly 97 hours. Swapping the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 for the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SE cuts the mid-range total by £32.00 to £347.96. The desk itself is covered in the best standing desk UK 2026 guide.

What are Logitech LIGHTSPEED and G HUB, and what goes wrong?

LIGHTSPEED is Logitech's 2.4 GHz wireless link, and a strength; G HUB is its free settings app, and the brand's most criticised product.

  • LIGHTSPEED:Logitech rates LIGHTSPEED at 1,000 Hz (1 ms) on the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED and up to 8,000 Hz on the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. Tom's Hardware found a G Pro Wireless "kept up with its claimed 1ms report rate" with a Bluetooth keyboard and headset connected.
  • G HUB weight:RTINGS reports criticism of G HUB for "requiring frequent updates and taking up disproportionate system resources". G HUB runs on Windows and macOS only.
  • January 2026 outage:an expired certificate stopped G HUB and Logi Options+ launching on macOS, taking custom buttons and scrolling with them, according to MacRumors. A Logitech representative wrote: "We dropped the ball here. This is an inexcusable mistake." Owners had to install a patch by hand.
  • Onboard memory: the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED stores 5 profiles on the mouse, so settings survive without G HUB. RTINGS notes the MX Master 4 has no onboard memory.
  • Paid features: none; G HUB and the new G HUB Replay recorder are free.

Do Logitech mice still double-click?

Current Logitech flagships are far less exposed, because Logitech has moved its main mice off the mechanical switches behind the problem. The history, from named sources:

  • Tom's Hardware:its G Pro Wireless showed "accidental double-clicks after about 2 years of use", and "Logitech has told us that it is aware of and is working on the issue".
  • Migliaccio & Rathod LLP:the US law firm opened an investigation on 3 September 2025 into double-click failures on G Pro Wireless and Superlight mice, alleging that "Logitech has long known of the high failure rates". It is an investigation, not a ruling.
  • The fix:LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches arrived with the G502 X range and the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2, which Logitech rates at 70 million clicks. RTINGS says optical switches "aren't prone to developing double-clicking issues" but can feel mushy with age. HITS on the SUPERSTRIKE mice replaces the click switch with inductive sensing and haptic feedback.

The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED and Logitech G502 HERO still use conventional mechanical switches, so budget buyers should keep the receipt.

How long is Logitech's warranty in the UK?

Logitech gives 2 years: its UK product pages list a 2-year limited hardware warranty for every gaming mouse, keyboard, headset and racing wheel in this guide, plus the MX Master 3S, MX Keys S and C920 HD Pro. Logitech's UK warranty terms set the conditions:

  • Remedy:at Logitech's option, repair, replacement or a refund of the price paid.
  • Proof: a dated receipt is required, and the warranty covers the original purchaser only.
  • Exclusions: accident, abuse, unauthorised repair or disassembly, and normal wear and tear.
  • Refurbished:Logitech's own refurbished products carry 1 year, half the new-product term.

UK law adds to the warranty. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a faulty product can be rejected for a full refund within 30 days, and a fault within six months is presumed present at delivery, so a double-clicking mouse bought on Amazon UK goes back to the retailer first. Logitech states that statutory rights are not affected.

Who should skip Logitech?

Four groups are better served elsewhere:

  • Ultralight chasers:the lightest Logitech mouse here weighs 60 g, and RTINGS notes the Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT is heavier than "many competing lightweight FPS mice".
  • Left-handed players: every Logitech mouse here puts its side buttons on the left, and the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED and MX Master 3S are right-handed shapes.
  • Linux users: G HUB and Logi Options+ run on Windows and macOS only.
  • Locked-down work laptops: RTINGS notes MX Master 4 gestures need Logi Options+ running, which can be an issue on locked-down work systems.

Verdict

The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 at £99.99 is the best Logitech product: 60 g, 8,000 Hz and switches that avoid the double-click history. The Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE at £159.00 is for click-tuning enthusiasts, the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED at £74.99 for MMO players, and the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED at £19.99 for tight budgets. Beyond mice, the Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED (£149.99), Logitech G PRO X TKL RAPID (£104.99) and Logitech MX Master 3S (£74.00) are the picks, and a complete mid-range Logitech desk costs £379.96.
