OLED guide

How to choose oled

OLED monitors produce perfect blacks because each pixel emits its own light. Two technology variants dominate the market: WOLED from LG Display and QD-OLED from Samsung Display. Both deliver near-instant pixel response and infinite contrast.

WOLED versus QD-OLED

WOLED uses a white OLED stack with red, green, blue, and white sub-pixels. QD-OLED uses a blue OLED stack with quantum-dot conversion to red and green. QD-OLED produces brighter saturated colours. WOLED produces sharper text on the desktop because of the layout.

Burn-in and warranty

Static UI elements can permanently retain on OLED panels over thousands of hours. LG warranties cover OLED burn-in on the UltraGear range for two years. Samsung Odyssey OLED carries a three-year burn-in warranty on selected models.
